What you have to learn and cost involved
The following is an overview of both the subjects to be covered and the costs of publication, practical training.
PART 1:- Study pack for ADI Theory and Hazard Perception Test
The trainee will be supplied with an A.D.I study pack together with the publications that are needed to help with the personal study for the part 1 exam.
Price - £200.00
Part 1 consists of two sections, a theory test and a hazard perception test. Both sections must be passed at the same one sitting.
The theory test calls for high standard of knowledge. It is a single test of 100 questions to be completed in 90 minutes covering the following areas
- Road Procedures
- Traffic Signs & Signals
- Car Control
- Pedestrians
- Mechanical Knowledge
- Driving Test
- Disabilities
- LawPublications
- Instructional Techniques
Each question requires one answer to be selected from 4 possible answers.
An overall pass score of 85% is required, but a minimum mark of 80% in each of the four areas listed above.
The hazard perception test consist of 14 video clips each lasting one minute and containing 15 scoreable hazards. A maximum of 5 marks can be scored on each hazard in a clip.
PART 2:- Test of Driving Ability (1 hrs)
RESULT Driving School will provide tution to enable the trainee to meet the standards of D.S.A part 2 Test of Driving Ability Examination.
The test is in two parts
Eyesight Test: Candidates must be able to read the number plate at 27.5 mtrs.
Test of Driving Technique: It is a advanced test and a very high standard of competance is required.

PART 3:- Test of Ability to Instruct
Only three attempts are allowed for this exam. A complete re-sit of all exams is then required after a lapse of 2 years before the part 3 can be re-taken.
The test is in two parts, each of about 1/2 hour duration
